Abstract

Significant difficulties in school learning accrue from processes ocurring in the privacy of the classroom. It is therefore imperative to study that school micro-level, a complex system of relationships involving different dimensions of analysis. Assuming that school should transmit culturally constructed knowledge within the framework of a political project, it is relevant to find out how students take over that knowledge, in which way the diversity of student previous knowledge is interrelated with "knowledge to teach". This article examines the epistemological and theoretical approaches underlying the insufficient treatment of this problem in the existing educational research in our country. In the first place, it analyses the applicationist approach of pshycology on studying educational activity. Then, some thesis which have guided research about teaching practices. Furthermore, the meaning adopted by new perspectives as regard experience when considering school processes. It also examines, the comprehension of teaching and learning only as a relationship between teacher and student. Finally, the article proposes a multi-disciplinary approach to undertake research about knowledge processes in the classroom.
