Abstract

In this article we present a summary of the research report submitted in 2010 for the accreditation of the Bachelor of Sciencie in Education at FCH-UNICEN. We analyze the link between Childhood and primary education schools in the province of Buenos Aires. The hypothesis states that within this link there is the coexistence of the "Irregular Situation" and "Rights Promotion and Protection" paradims. The questions guiding the research process wonder about the intersection of these paradigms with the practices of institutional actors, and also about the elements that prevent the full implementation of the second paradigm. To answer these questions we conducted an exploratory work on Childhood polices, based on semi - structured interviews with officials/workers of the federal and provincial administrations who are responsibles for the implementation of the new Childhood and Adolescence Law. We also conducted a field work and the data obtained was qualitatively analyzed through a coding process. As analysis unit, we defined the reports on "some" children submitted by various Primary Education institutions of Tandil to the UTO -SLPPDN in which perspectives and practices on Chidhood are presented.
