Education is a human right that is undermined in unequal societies. This paper, based on information provided by a Technological and Social Development Project (TSDP) carried out between the years 20152019, aims to analyze the factors that condition the right to education in contexts of urban poverty in the city of Bahía Blanca, Buenos Aires province, Argentina. To this end, we propose a strategy that combines quantitative and qualitative methodologies. The descriptive statistics analysis based on data from household surveys allowed an initial approach to the social conditions in the neighborhoods of Stella Maris, Cabré Moré and 9 de Noviembre. Key informant interviews provided knowledge of the different ways in which the right to education is violated in these contexts. We conclude that a multidimensional and relational perspective is needed in order to understand the dynamics of production and reproduction of social and educational inequalities.
