Abstract

YEDAIDE, María Marta; PORTA, Luis  and  RAMALLO, Francisco. Alter(n)ating the conditions of authority of contemporary narrative investigation: ties, tangle and tears. Espac. blanco, Ser. indagaciones [online]. 2021, vol.31, n.2, pp.381-396. ISSN 1515-9485.  http://dx.doi.org/10.37177/unicen/eb31-309.

In this article we intend to explore the meanings of educational research which prevail in the local scenarios and to show how they alternatively (dis) enable our academic work. Stemming from the linguistic and hermeneutic turns first, and later from the affective and ontological turns and their intimacy with the new materialism, post-qualitative research and even anti-methodologies, we notice a significant change in the interpretative matrixes of scientific research that is being resisted and counterbalanced by the reinforcement of certain modern/colonial power regimes that attempt to keep on regulating academic life. Adopting a narrative and autobiographical stance is still risky. We thus engage in the analysis of two peer-review reports which portray the power disputes that harass academic sovereignty nowadays.

Keywords : narrative research; modern/colonial regimes; academic sovereignty; alternations.
