Abstract

MORINI, Luciana Daniela. Teaching language and literature in juvenile institutions for young people with criminal cases: teaching work and didactic proposals. Espac. blanco, Ser. indagaciones [online]. 2022, vol.32, n.2, pp.31-44.  Epub July 05, 2022. ISSN 1515-9485.  http://dx.doi.org/10.37177/unicen/eb32-329.

The aim of this paper is to rethink the teaching of language and literature and the work of teachers in two closed centers in the city of La Plata that house young people with criminal cases. We consider that the following issues related to teaching work are in tension in these spaces. Firstly, the school institution and the prison institution. Secondly, the reading and writing practices historically legitimized by the school system and those that students actually carry out. Finally, the proposal of the Curricular Designs for Secondary Education in the Province of Buenos Aires and what the educational contexts make possible. We will illustrate these tensions and a way of approaching them by presenting a didactic proposal that seeks to articulate the object language and literature, the work tasks and their resolution by the students.

Keywords : teaching; language and literature; context of punitive confinement.
