Abstract

MULLER, Vânia. Notes on an ethnography among training musical educators: from the promotion to the precarization of a public policy. Espac. blanco, Ser. indagaciones [online]. 2022, vol.32, n.2, pp.187-198.  Epub Mar 22, 2022. ISSN 1515-9485.  http://dx.doi.org/10.37177/unicen/eb32-342.

This text is a reflective description of moments and aspects of the insertion of undergraduates in music in the sound-musical environment of a school community, where we worked with the federal public policy PIBID, from 2014 to 2019. An ethical-political principle accompanied musical planning and practices: the search for systemic-cultural and pedagogical alterity in the time-space of musical instrument workshops, singing group and the Experimental Orchestra. The research that generated the information presented here points out the successes of the program's objectives, as well as its weaknesses, at the interface of some assumptions of neoliberalism. The narrative consists of excerpts from reports and field diaries that also bring the authorship of the licenciandas.

Keywords : music education; teacher training and neoliberalism; public policy; basic education.
