Abstract

BORDIGNON, Fernando Raúl Alfredo  and  DUGHERA, Lucila. Digital technologies, teachers and students at the beginning of Covid-19. Clues for higher education to come. Espac. blanco, Ser. indagaciones [online]. 2023, vol.33, n.1, pp.173-184.  Epub June 06, 2022. ISSN 1515-9485.  http://dx.doi.org/10.37177/unicen/eb33-350.

The Covid-19 pandemic revealed that university education, both in Argentina and at the regional and international level, not only suffers from deficiencies in connectivity and hardware infrastructure, but also in the pedagogical-didactic dimension. This is indicated by the results of the fieldwork we carried out during April and May 2020. Specifically, from analyzing the testimonies of profesor and university students, we categorized a set of problems, in addition to those related to connectivity and access limitations, which are amplified by the pandemic, but far exceed it. We refer to the digital mediation of teaching, work/study overload and fatigue, and the economic factor. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to present an ordering of these problems and, at the same time, to inscribe them in broader processes such as the informationalization and platforming of university education.

Keywords : Covid-19 pandemic; professor and university students; problems; digital technologies.
