Abstract

BELINCHE, Marcelo F.; CAMMERTONI, Marisol; VINAS, Rossana  and  SUAREZ BALDO, Claudia. La escritura académica en la finalización de carreras de grado universitarias. El caso de la Facultad de Periodismo y Comunicación Social de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata. Espac. blanco, Ser. indagaciones [online]. 2023, vol.33, n.2, pp.197-197. ISSN 1515-9485.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.37177/unicen/eb33-371.

The following article reflects on the difficulties that university students encounter at the end of their degree training when dealing with writing their final papers; their fears, their uncertainties, the end of their student cycle to enter the professional field. These ideas result from the synthesis of the work carried out as a systematization and reflection carried out by the Degree Directorate of the Faculty of Journalism and Social Communication of the National University of La Plata, and articulating with other areas and with curricular spaces of the institution, from 2016 to date, establishing ruptures and continuities in the processes of completion of the degree according to the different contextualities that the country has gone through.

Writing that is sometimes disconnected from their curricular trajectories and/or the institutions do not take it into account and do not develop strategies or spaces for the containment of this situation, understanding that reading and writing are social practices that require a certain academic literacy at the university and must be accompanied and taught.

Through a survey of students' experiences and accounts of what their experience of completion has been like, it outlines some essential points about what is involved in an integrated final project and what should be considered for its writing.

Keywords : academic writing; final papers; degree completion; communication.
