In this article, changes related to school management in the Province of Córdoba since the 1990s are examined. For this purpose, the documentary analysis of a set of regulations from the national, federal and jurisdictional orbit that accounts for the modifications that defined the managerial task in the last thirty years. This work is part of a larger investigation about the practices of running secondary schools in the period 2006-2019. The assumption is sustained that since the 1990s the school management began to be challenged to adapt to the new public management model; distancing itself from the traditional perspective that had characterized it. Lastly, the school management once again became the focus of educational policies with the reforms established after the approval of the National Education Law No. 26.206 and the changes promoted through plans approved by the Federal Education Council (CFE).
