Abstract

SABATER, Natalia. Hacia la consolidación de un campo filosófico argentino: un recorrido por el Primer Congreso Nacional de Filosofía de 1949. Tópicos [online]. 2022, n.44, e0011. ISSN 1666-485X.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.14409/topicos.2022.44.e0011.

The following paper attempts to address the First National Congress of Philosophy held at the National University of Cuyo in 1949 with the aim of analyzing its impact and relevance in the process of consolidation of an Argentine philosophical field. We will proceed to study the context of its realization, its relation, as a national event, with the Peronist government but also the various speculative disputes that run through it, inherent to the philosophical field itself. We are interested in understanding how the relationship between Argentine philosophy and the university as a fundamental space in which the first one is deployed emerges in this Congress. We are also interested in analyzing the institutionalization of the philosophical discipline during the government of Perón, a period in which a policy of financing and promotion of scientific activity is instrumented. The hypothesis we will defend is that the Congress represents a decisive turning point in the configuration of philosophical practice as a speculative and scientific field, which inevitably entailed disputes and exclusions, and was linked to the scientific policy of the Peronist government.

Keywords : First National Congress of Philosophy; Argentine Philosophy; Institutionalization; Peronism.
