Abstract

BERTOLACCINI, I et al. Supervivencia de plutellaxylostella l (lepidoptera, Plutellidae) en diferentes híbridos de brassica Olerácea l. Var. Capitata. FAVE. Secc. Cienc. agrar. [online]. 2011, vol.10, n.1-2, pp.53-59. ISSN 1666-7719.

Plutellaxylustella L. is the most destructive pest of Brassicaceae. Chemical control methods ;ire riot always efficient, beingnecessary to find othcrsalternativessuch aschoiceofcultivars. Thedevelopment of immature stages depends on factors of the host plants. In order to compare the immature survival preference of P. xylostella in cultivars oíB. olerácea var capitata, cabbage hybrids were transplanted: Izalco. Globe Master. YR Park. and Gloria, (green foliage), and YR Super Red (red foliage) in furrows spaced 70 cm., and 60 cm between plañís in a commercial crop. Every 15 days were extracted 5 plañís per treatment and counted the eggs, larvae and pupae. The hybrid-type purple (YR Super Red) reponed having a better efíect ofnon-preference (antixenosis) evidenced by a smaller number ofeggs, While in the hybrid Gloria survival of immature stages (antibiosis) was lower.
