Abstract
LAZARTE, José E; AVILA, Julio C and GIANFRANCISCO, Miguel. Tungsten mineralization related to peraluminous granites: Geochemical aspects of the alteration in granites of northern Sierra de Vinquis. Ser. correl. geol. [online]. 2012, vol.28, n.2, pp.67-84. ISSN 1666-9479.
Geochemistry of alteration and mineralization of the granitoids outcropping around Mina San Antonio (W), northern of Sierra de Vinquis, Department of Belen, Catamarca, are studied. Piedra Overa Granite is a two-micas sienogranite, with high contents of P2O5 and Th and low contents of Sr, REE and Y. North Vinquis Granite is a biotitic sienogranite, with slightly higher content of Y and low Sr and REE. Mina San Antonio Pluton is a muscovitic sienogranite with high P2O5 content, and slightly high Y and low contents of Ba, Sr and REE. None bodies show high values of ore elements. Anomalous values of ore elements were not observed in the studied bodies. The GPO and GVN granites have no specialization according to K/Rb and Ba/Rb parameters. Greisenization is exposed within the parameters Eu/Eu*, Zr/Nb <1, Th/U 1,1. Strong decay in REE´s is observed at late stages. La/YbN indicates fractionation of REE in GPO granite and is useful to point out the evolution degree in the studied granites.
