Abstract
COSTERO, B. et al. Intravarietal diversity of Manzanilla Olive cultivar (Olea europaea L.) and related selected genotypes from the INTA Catamarca collection and orchards of Cruz del Eje, Córdoba (Argentina). Agriscientia [online]. 2021, vol.38, n.2, pp.74-88. ISSN 1668-298X. http://dx.doi.org/10.31047/1668.298x.v38.n2.30288.
The olive tree (Olea europaea L.) presents a complex of varieties that have not been fully characterized and ¡dentified yet. In this work, material with uncertain identity was analized: six loci SSRs (simple sequence repeats) of thirteen accessions related to the Manzanilla cultivar from the INTA Catamarca collection and of two commercial genotypes from orchards of Cruz del Eje, Córdoba. To confirm the identity of cultivars and the predominant genetic base of the selected genotypes, their allelic profiles were compared with nine cultivars from INTA Mendoza and from the BMGO (Córdoba, Spain) as well as with reference data from the OLEA databases. With the allelic frequency data obtained, a genetic distance matrix was generated, which made it possible to estimate diversity parameters and perform multivariate ordination and clustering analysis. The predominant genetic base of native genotypes was characterized and a high level of heterozygosity was found. In addition, the identity of the Carmona accession and of two allelic variants (Imperial and 4So. CE) was verified possible synonymy for cvs. Israeli and Fina, and homonymy for cv. Spanish accessions were detected. These results contribute to the valorization and efficient use of olive tree genetic resources.
