Abstract

MORALES, Susana María. Inseguridades: Otra vuelta de tuerca sobre la pregunta por los medios. Trama comun. [online]. 2015, vol.19, n.2, pp.233-248. ISSN 1668-5628.

The relationship between media and violence is one of the basic concerns of the communication studies, expressed about the question of the effects of propaganda. The emergence of technical devices that enable mass transfer are developed in the context of war , a situation that marks the concerns that gave rise to questions about the effects of media in American sociology (Mattelart, 1998). In a context like ours where insecurity is a major concern of Argentine (Latinbarómetro, 2008) questions about the relationship between media and violence are updated and amending both the visibility and the experience of violence - associated with insecurity - term , as a form of cultural production marked by the process of mediation . After a hyperinflation of the issue of security in the media (Vilker, 2009), today revealed advances in methodological theoretical discussion of the relationship between the media , the media representation of the security and what is called as a culture of victimization and feelings of insecurity . This article is part of that debate, to raise new questions and discussions that allow approaches complicate the issue.
