Abstract

GALLEGO RAMOS, José Raúl. Existe… pero no se ve: Investigación de Agenda Setting en América Latina. Trama comun. [online]. 2017, vol.21, n.2, pp.87-108. ISSN 1668-5628.

This meta-research aim a look to Latin America agenda setting studies, in order to make the corpus of investigation that have been done in different countries of the area, visible, as well as illustrate some of its basic theoretical and methodological characteristics. It were retrieve 134 agenda setting investigations from 11 Latin American countries, most of this investigation were made among 2004 and 2014. Empirics investigations turns out majority, the most studied media were the newspapers and the main investigation area were the relationship between public and media agenda. This quantitative rise of agenda setting investigations have not been increasing along with a theoretical criticism assimilation, which can be uphold due to a reproduction of classical schemas displayed in this investigations, as well as its inattention to more than a few of its main limitations.
