Communication makes semiosis possible, and semiosis processes allow memory, and from this point of view, the meaning is inexhaustible and infinitely renewable. The contributions of semiotics to the field of communication are longstanding and allow us an enriching dialogue with other spaces of study. We work from a semiotic approach for the possibilities and tools that this disciplinary space offers us to researchers in communication. In this article we intend to describe and analyze the architectural composition that the school act takes as a semiotic-communicative format. For this we have drawn a map that consists of four moments, which are presented as part of a process always in motion, which starts again, to be reactualized: organizational, ceremonial, institutional offering and archiving.
