Abstract

SILVA PRADA, Natalia. La escritura anónima: ¿Especie sediciosa o estrategia de comunicación política colonial?. Andes [online]. 2005, n.16, pp.223-252. ISSN 1668-8090.

This article analyzes the practice of anonymous writing as an old regime phenomenon from an historical peculiarity: the political action and its strategies. I discuss the use of the anonimous writing as a source, I explore the meaning of this use and I formulate a methodological proposal starting from a reflection on several cases in the 17th century New Spain and New Granada. More specifically, I approach the cases of political denunciation examining some anonymous writings and the reasons of its authors to maintain anonymity. I also try to define the texts'peculiarities and to establish the specific relation between the same texts and the historical context, considering these writings an emerging political act.

Keywords : Anonymous writings; Political practices; Political denunciation; Justice; Tyranny; Good government.
