Abstract

GODOY, Mariana. The last events: PJ-Juarez celebrations in its final stage. Santiago del Estero 2002-2003. Andes [online]. 2011, vol.22, n.1. ISSN 1668-8090.

I analyze the intense deployment of the "Partido Justicialista-Juarista" in Santiago del Estero, at party and government events in 2002 and 2003, moments of exacerbation of the crisis of the Juarez, where they make the mechanisms of domination harder while appealing strenuously to the symbolic resource. I describe the staging practices of the party, specially as regards the performance of an amorphous and relatively independent segment into the party bureaucracy and the centralistic leadership of Carlos and Nina Juárez, in relation to several groups that either join or confront each other on the stage; specially the female group (la Rama Femenina) and young Peronists (la Juventud Peronista), the most mobilized groups during those years. From three events, I describe the exhibition preceding the main one, the official setting up of the square where the celebration takes place, and the ways the persons were placed at the scene, marking the relations between the different segments into the party organization. At last, I explore earlier ways of organization of different control areas and unidades básicas, the resourses mobilized, the exchange system established, the way they lived the event, and the senses that encouraged their participation in the organization work.

Keywords : Political Party-Peronism; Representation-staging; Segmentation; Exchange systems.
