Abstract

LORANDI, Ana María. Andean Countries, War and Independence: A "Traumatic Transition". Andes [online]. 2015, vol.26, n.1, pp.00-00. ISSN 1668-8090.

The paper aims to discuss, through a trans-regional approach, the emergence of conceptual problems and political ideopraxis during the transition between the colonial period and the times of the new Andean republics of Peru, Bolivia and Argentina (specifically the Argentine northwestern region). The processes of inclusion of different social sectors to the political life will be taken into account; considering the structural similarities and differences as well as those appearing during the war of independence. Also the impact of militarization and elections will be analyzed, as well as the participation in public spaces of rural and urban population, who belonged to each of the above-mentioned regions.

Keywords : Trans-regional; War; Independence; Transition; Politic.
