Abstract

CARMIGNANI, Leticia Daniela. Exploration, invasion and confrontation between huestes: Slow and conflicting conformation of the government of Tucumán (1535-1563). Andes [online]. 2018, vol.29, n.2, pp.00-00. ISSN 1668-8090.

We will analyze the stage of the invasion and founding of the first cities south of the Collasuyu, in the space that will be established as Gobernación del Tucumán in 1563, taking into account the jurisdictional conflicts, hostilities between conquerors and the relations with the indigenous societies, considering the disputes over the inclusion of these territories as part of the Gobernación de Chile or the intention of separating independent governance, judicially dependent on the Real Audience (1535-1563).

Keywords : Invasion; Government of Tucumán; Citizens foundation; Century XVI.
