Abstract

CINTO, Agustina  and  GONZALEZ, Gabriela. The architecture of crime: an anthropological view on the forms of construction and transmission of memory from the government of Santa Fe. Andes [online]. 2019, vol.30, n.1, pp.00-00. ISSN 1668-8090.

In this article, we propose an approach to the documentary The architecture of the crime, from an anthropological perspective centered in the analysis of the memory construction and transmission that the provincial State carries out through this audiovisual production. This particular documentary was made and produced by Señal Santa Fe, a program depending on the Ministry of Innovation and Culture of the Province of Santa Fe. It was publicly presented on April 22, 2016, at the Rosario seat of provincial government, after an intervention work in the former clandestine detention center (CDC), Information Service (IS) of the Santa Fe Police department. The documentary focuses on the building where the IS is placed at present, emphasizing the former CDC. From this analysis, we are interested in reflecting on the official politics of memory and the consequences generated by this type of transmission, and promoting certain discussion around them.
