Abstract
GARCIA MORITAN, M. and MEALLA, A.M.. Peasant migrants and pauperized social groups as expression of social vulnerability: an approach to some socioeconomic variables. Cuad. Fac. Humanid. Cienc. Soc., Univ. Nac. Jujuy [online]. 2000, n.13, pp.53-75. ISSN 1668-8104.
The aim is to compare social groups conditions of life in two different places: a settlement in Ciudad Perico, and a popular quarter in San Salvador de Jujuy. The lack of sistematized information about local contexts, that politicians could made use of, and the need of including cuantitative information to our usual cualitative researches, demanded us to get into field with another methodologycal approach. We designed a pliant questionaire; it allowed us to integrate people considerations. The informal interview will be the context where the data about considered reality will be build up. We found different ways of access to urban space, significant presence of auto-construction, peasant migrant and pauperized social groups; high proportion of subemployment and its unavoided effects; they express the generalized vulnerability as a result of nowdays economic policies.
