Abstract

The burials in El Churcal (Molinos, Salta), a settlement of great significance in central section of Calchaquí Valley are analyzed.             From the point of view that mortuary practices are social integration events physically expressed in tombs, offering and bodies processing a first study of burials variability is curried out.             The tombs and its spatial distribution manifest homogeneity. The contents have quantitative and qualitative differences in the social cost and point out possible special rituals.
