Abstract

FOSCHI, María Laura. (Merleau-ponty: The body as the world theatre opening). Cuad. Fac. Humanid. Cienc. Soc., Univ. Nac. Jujuy [online]. 2013, n.43, pp.11-18. ISSN 1668-8104.

The purpose of the present work is to show how the artistic creation constitutes one of the forms that the man possesses to give an account of the perceived world. We will try for this, to relate the analysis presented by Merleau-Ponty in the field of painting and philosophy, with the theater studies conducted by Jerzy Grotowski and Eugenio Barba concerning the technical and training of the actor in the theater world, identifying these two perspectives with the search of one expression or original experience that is given from the body as a way of opening to the world.

Keywords : Body; Body of the Actor; Original Experience; Artistic Expression.
