The subject of this work is the training of teachers of physics in Argentina. It analyzes the emergence of certain spaces and voices historically constituted legitimacy to state problems related to the teaching of physics in secondary school and the figures of teaching subject that they behave.             Through the theoretical and methodological criteria proposed by the genealogy of the practices of Michel Foucault, the analysis of a documentary corpus is carried out around the axes of power, knowledge, truth and discourse. Argentine national official resolutions, academic meeting reports on science teaching and training materials for physics teachers from 1958-1978 were considered.             The hypothesis on which the analysis is based indicates that by 1960 the formation of a specialized domain of practices and knowledges relative to the teaching of physics in secondary school, which produces profound transformations in the ways in which the problem was being questioned, about the formation of the teacher of Physics. In the first half of the twentieth century disputes over the teaching of science were arranged around different figures (the scientist, the professional and the teacher). By the 1960s and 1970s, however, the emergence of the expert in science education and the notion of "Improvement of science education" opened up a new regime of truth to state the problem of teacher education and science teaching
