Abstract

CASTILLA, Malena Inés. Public and international financing agencies in the construction and reconfiguration of the frontiers in Pampa del Indio, Chaco. Cuad. Fac. Humanid. Cienc. Soc., Univ. Nac. Jujuy [online]. 2018, n.54, pp.139-161. ISSN 1668-8104.

The objective of this work will be to describe the borders that exist in the locality of Pampa del Indio, Chaco Province, from the perspective of social, political and economic anthropology. At the same time, we will seek to relate the changes that are generated between the local indigenous organizations in these frontiers from the frameworks of implementation of the public policies implemented in the territory. For this we will focus on the analysis of the policies implemented in Pampa del Indio by the Institute of Aboriginal Chaqueño and the Institute of Colonization, both dependents of the province of Chaco and agencies such as the World Bank. In this sense, we will analyse how these policies generate symbolic and territorial frontiers that affect the indigenous communities and as these communities resignify such interventions to visible their territorial and cultural claims.

Keywords : Frontiers; Indigenous organizations; Public policies; Territory.
