Abstract
SORIA, María Emilia and PERREN, Joaquín. The social division of the space from a multiscale perspective. An approach based on the analysis of the quality of life index in Villa Ceferino neighborhood (1990-2001. Cuad. Fac. Humanid. Cienc. Soc., Univ. Nac. Jujuy [online]. 2019, n.56, pp.113-141. ISSN 1668-8104.
The aim of this article is to carry out a mapping of inequality in an intermediate city: Neuquén, in the North-Patagonia, Argentina. We start from the hypothesis that the observation scale is not a neutral element in the problematic of this study, but rather determines the results that may be obtained. At the beginning, an area presented with some homogeneity then, it could show the roughness if the observation scales decreases. With this assumption as a guide, we propose a path that presents three clearly differentiated moments. First, we will describe the context which was the scenario of the phenomenon that we intend to explain. We will explore the social and spatial effects of the neoliberalization process. Second , we will approach the social division of the space of the city of Neuquén using the calculation of the quality of life index. Finally, we will thoroughly stop at a peripheral location settlement: Villa Ceferino, in the west of the capital city of Neuquén
