Abstract

MARTINEZ, L.E; VALLONE, R.C  and  PINO, M.M. Variación temporal de indicadores microbiológicos y químicos de suelo árido regadío incubado con abonos orgánicos. RIA. Rev. investig. agropecu. [online]. 2018, vol.44, n.2, pp.39-47. ISSN 1669-2314.

Microbiological and chemical characteristics of the soil change by the application of organic amendment and could be sensitive indicators to this produced impact. The goal of this study was to evaluate the effect of organic amendments in microbiological and chemical properties under incubation conditions. Soil fractions without (control) and with compost and vermicompost were incubated for 90 days at 28 ° C and 60% of remaining water. Total microbial activity (TMA), abundance of bacteria and fungi, cellulolytic, fixing N, ammonifiers and nitrifiers microorganisms, N-NO3, total N, P-H2CO3, exchangeable K and organic matter were measured each ten days. TMA and amonificadores and cellulolytic microorganisms were sensitive at optimization of temperature and soil moisture, and not for organic amendment. Cellulolytic microorganisms increased during incubation, while TMA and amonifiers decreased. N-fixing microorganisms and nitrifiers increased immediately after application of vermicompost but not last over time. Instead, total N, P and exchangeable K-H2CO3 were potential indicators of this agronomic practice in irrigated arid soils. These chemical characteristics increased with the application of organic amendement during 90 days of incubation. P-H2CO3 and exchangeable K were more sensitive to the application of compost, as succeeded in field. Finally, soil chemical characteristics were more sensitive than microbiological to application of organic amendment.

Keywords : Compost; Vermicompost; Microorganisms of carbon and nitrogen cycle.
