Abstract

BLANCO, Daniel. Mexía y Mejía: dos mensajes en un mismo linaje. Enfoques [online]. 2009, vol.21, n.1, pp.51-69. ISSN 1669-2721.

Francisco Ramos Mexía and one of his grandchildren, José María, who were important figures in the history of Argentina, sustained different views on nature. For one of them, nature was the result of the work of an intelligent Creator; for the other, biodiversity was a result of the exclusive action of evolution, prominently driven by natural selection. This paper briefly discusses these two opposing views.

Keywords : Ambiguity; Darwinism; Origin of life; Polysemy; Ramos Mejía.
