Abstract

SIMIELE, Javier. Lutero y la política. Enfoques [online]. 2010, vol.22, n.1, pp.71-90. ISSN 1669-2721.

This paper discusses the relationship between Martin Luther's theology and his political stances. First, the author describes the theoretical frame used. Then some opinions and attitudes about the Reformation are reviewed, as expressed by various experts and, specifically, by some of the classic authors in the sociological field. Then the Lutheran Theory is presented, taking special consideration of the thoughts and thinkers that influenced its origins. Finally, the Augustine monk's political stances are put forward as the author discusses their degree of influence on some of the modern political ideas.
