Abstract

MANSILLA, Hugo Celso Felipe. La identidad boliviana como consciencia de una crisis histórica: entre el populismo autoritario  y la preservación de valores ancestrales. Enfoques [online]. 2012, vol.24, n.1, pp.89-108. ISSN 1669-2721.

Summary Bolivia -like many countries in the Third World- is increasingly immersed into the contemporary globalization process, whose products, values and even follies have been adopted by the Bolivian society in an inexorable manner. In this context it is rather difficult to discern an own and genuine development paradigm from a foreign model (taken from the most important western countries). As compensatory ideologies, the indigenous discourse and the populist practices frequently have the function of concealing authoritarian patterns in the political field and in daily life.

Keywords : Bolivia; Communitarism; Identity; Indigenous ideologies; Populism.
