Abstract

MANZANO, Fernando Ariel  and  VELAZQUEZ, Guillermo Ángel. Economy at the Service of the Market versus Economy at the Service of the State: Argentina between 1976 and 2014. Enfoques [online]. 2016, vol.28, n.2, pp.27-66. ISSN 1669-2721.

In Argentina, between 1976 and 2002, the State began a process of international restructuring of its economy, leading to a process of economic concentration. The clear beneficiaries of the scheme, which ended in late 2001, have been the major economic groups. Since 2003, we believe that the economy began to operate under State intervention, leaving behind the neoliberal policies. The new goals were the strengthening of the internal market, the promotion of import substitution, and the improvements in income distribution.

Keywords : State; Market; Income distribution; Social policies; Economic concentration.
