Abstract

PERLO, Claudia Liliana. Autopoiesis and Power: From Hierarchy to the Web of Life. Enfoques [online]. 2017, vol.29, n.1, pp.105-121. ISSN 1669-2721.

This work is part of a qualitative research project called “The conceptions of power and its impact on organizational change processes” developed in the area of Learning and Organizational Development of the Rosario Research Institute of Education Sciences (IRICE-CONICET), Argentina. We present theoretical and methodological aspects that give support to this research, data analysis, discussion of results and final evaluations. The aim of this paper is to relate the data found to the theoretical perspective of the School of Santiago, with special reference to the concept of autopoiesis. We propose a concept of power centered in the being and being with others, based on a systems, biocentric and complex perspective.

Keywords : Power; Hierarchy; Autopoiesis; Complexity; Organizations.
