This article focuses on Brazilian art and its possible identity. Unlike several of its neighbours in Latin America, the aboriginal societies of Brazil did not reach the level of civilization. In Brazilian lands, the cultural hybridism typical of Latin America reaches its zenith. It is essentially a mestizo art. The question is: Is there a Brazilian art?
