Abstract

DI LISCIA, María Herminia B. Bodies exposed and without rights: Non punishable abortion in Argentina. Aljaba [online]. 2012, vol.16. ISSN 1669-5704.

Through the description and analysis of cases, is intended to, in this article, show the barriers of access to non punishable abortion (enshrined in the criminal code since 1921) in Argentina. The speeches of the actors involved in medicine, justice and State in general, share an essentialist conception on "women" (influenced by the Catholic fundamentalism) in which are regarded as natural and indisputable destination maternity thus restricting the access to sexual and reproductive rights. On the other hand, we are also dealing with the current situation on the legalization of abortion.

Keywords : Abortion; Non punishable abortion; Citizenship; Rights.
