Abstract

CARRARIO, Marta L.. The life history of a social activist. Aljaba [online]. 2013, vol.17, pp.45-58. ISSN 1669-5704.

Women’s history has allowed, in recent years, to expose the activities carried out by them in the public space. The importance given to the new subjects of history, along with the development of gender studies, opened the possibility to appeal and value various techniques of qualitative stamp, such as life history, to retrieve the individual and collective experiences of women who have played important roles as regards union activity and politics. The objective of this work is to expose the strategies and experiences that womanhood developed to empower themselves and to influence in Neuquén´s socio-political and union activity area, through the eyes of a working and teacher-leader woman and her history of life. Along with it, it appears the development of resistance devices, of differential practices, together with epochal commitments, that aims to the overcoming of marginalization and promote strategies to struggle throughout the dignity of workers.
