The day and night activities of a female barn owl in captivity are described with an emphasis on allotted time to day and night activities. Observations were made through video recording and subsequent review of their activities inside a nest box. The female shows a pattern of daytime activities. The role of food availability and the number of chicks produced in this pattern are discussed.
