Abstract

ALVERO, Luis  and  IBANEZ, Carlos. The fiscality of the provincial states. reflections from Catamarca around the crisis of the thirty. Rev. Esc. Hist. [online]. 2006, n.5, pp.129-158. ISSN 1669-9041.

In our country the economic specializing literature on the first four decades of the 20th century has analyzed the cycles of summit and crisis highlighting the macroeconomic conditions and the diverse political measures applied by the national administrations. Nevertheless this literature does not contribute to the analysis that explains the economic own dynamics of the local spaces. In this article two aims are chased, in the first place a general review is tried on economic Literature emphasizing the subjects and planes of analysis; on the other hand one proposes an exercise of interpretation on the crisis of the 30s in the provincial states from a case analysis insisting on three aspects; the evolution of the budgetary deficit, the provincial debt and the orientation of the cost. This perspective of analysis seeks to approach fiscal variables that allow to direct new questions the political local processes.

Keywords : Economic History; Provincial fiscality; Catamarca; 30' crisis.
