Abstract

MURUA, Victoria Natalia. A historian on the borders: Ceferino Garzón Maceda and his place in Cordoba's Historiography. Rev. Esc. Hist. [online]. 2010, vol.9, n.1. ISSN 1669-9041.

After the fall of peronism in 1955 begins a period of historiographic renovation marked by the influence of ways of understanding and making history that caused a profound turn of the most tradicional ways and that show the importance of the economics and socials approaches. Different histories of argentine historiography reconstruct this period. In this process the academic field of Buenos Aires, Rosario and Cordoba shows as the main places of such renovation with figures like Jose Luis Romero in Buenos Aires and Ceferino Garzón Maceda, less known, in Cordoba. This paper is part of a larger research Project whose goal is to revise the implications and limitations that this renovations had in the argentine field in general and in Cordoba in particular. In this opportunity we present a first approach to the figure of Ceferino Garzon Maceda and his role in that renovation.

Keywords : Historiography; Peronism; Renovation; Córdoba.
