Abstract

COUDANNES AGUIRRE, Mariela. Revisionist scandal" in Santa Fe: debates and controversies about the action of the Institute for Federalist Studies, 1938 - 1943. Rev. Esc. Hist. [online]. 2010, vol.9, n.1. ISSN 1669-9041.

The history of the revisionist centres of the provinces is generally little acquaintance in the current historiography. The Institute of Federalist Studies of Santa Fe (1938- 1943) is not the exception. In this work is deepened, on the one hand, in the historiographical and political positions of this group, and by another, in the representations that were built on their identification with the catholic nationalism. The analysis of the sources -particularly the daily press- permits to affirm that some members of the IEF developed critical positions of the "official history" and the liberal democracy in a setting polarized by the world events. The ideological radicalization derived in an attitude of break in the public sphere of Santa Fe, particularly in the educational environment, after the military coup of 1943.

Keywords : Historiography from Santa Fe; Revisionism; Catholic Nationalism.
