Abstract

PAROLO, María Paula. The fiscal pressure on the commerce in Tucumán in the first half of the nineteenth. Rev. Esc. Hist. [online]. 2011, vol.10, n.1. ISSN 1669-9041.

This article analyzes the evolution of retailing in Tucuman in a context of strong fiscal pressure. We examine the tax laws of the period, the patent lists of payment and the rebate and waiver requests submitted by contributors. From them, we try to rebuild the commercial and productive structure of the city, identifying retail stores and analyzing their evolution marked by tensions between the state tax collector and taxpayer claims.
