Paleographic and diplomatic study of the documents preserved in the Municipal Archive of Escalona (Toledo), issued by the second marquis of Villena Diego López Pacheco. There are a total of 31 charters, fifteen of them originals, dated between 1478 and 1521. The typological variety is wide: there are a carta de merced, another de previllejo, misivas, cédulas, provisiones, a mandato and a sentencia, with which don Diego commands the officers of the council or neighbors, dispenses justice, legislates, grantes tax exemptions or communicates news.
