Abstract

LUZZI, Marcelo. Family and Office: The Soto-Verrio Family and Castille's House Government (17th and 18th Centuries)). Rev. Esc. Hist. [online]. 2015, vol.14, n.2, pp.00-00. ISSN 1669-9041.

In this article, I propose to analyze the family strategies of promotion and consolidation of the Soto-Verrio family in the Spanish Monarchy domestic service. With this purpose, I attempt to understand how this family obtained to serve a specific office of the everyday government at the Castille's house (veedor and contador) during almost two centuries.

Keywords : Court; Domesticity; Family; Royal Household; Office.
