Abstract

PACHECO LANDERO, Diego. 'Que sirva tan bien como hiço su padre': High nobility and service as royal alter ego in the Hispanic Monarchy. Rev. Esc. Hist. [online]. 2017, vol.16, n.1, pp.00-00. ISSN 1669-9041.

This article analyses some aspects of the service of the high nobility, as viceroy and governor of the territories of the Hispanic Monarchy, towards his Catholic Majesty. The focus is set on the preconditions that this service required and the existing hierarchies among the kingdoms of the Monarchy where the noblemen embodied the role of regal alter ego.
