Abstract

CUADROS CONTRERAS, Raúl. Cyborg ontology and epistemology: emerging representations of the organic relationship between man and nature. Rev. iberoam. cienc. tecnol. soc. [online]. 2011, vol.7, n.19, pp.131-141. ISSN 1850-0013.

The paper adresses the appeareance of a new onthology and a new philosophy of knowledge, which have emerged from the transformations occured within the representations of objects of nature and technology. These transformations are related to the shift from metaphysical and substantialist perspectives to a new relational one which identifies them as hybrid beings. This relational perspective guides the re-consideration of human identity as the result of multiple social and historical links with other species.

Keywords : Mankind; Nature; Organic link; Technology; Cyborg.
