Abstract

MARTINEZ PORTA, Laura; TOSCANO, Ariel Rodrigo  and  CAMBIAGGIO, Cristina. The experience of R&D&I evaluation in universities through the Institutional Evaluation Program (IEP). Rev. iberoam. cienc. tecnol. soc. [online]. 2014, vol.9, n.27, pp.165-181. ISSN 1850-0013.

This article aims to identify some of the difficulties and tensions that arise at Argentine universities as a result of a new context that promotes technologic and social transfer, and innovation. In this context, issues such as autonomy and the social function of the university, the evaluation criteria for scientific and technological activities, planning and freedom of thought, the institutional coordination and management of the research and development function, among others, generate tensions that require a definition. The information provided by the Institutional Assessment Program (PEI) of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation of Argentina is the input chosen to present this scenario

Keywords : Universities; R&D&I; Evaluation; Technological and social transfer.
