Abstract

Nanotechnology Public Policies In Mexico. Rev. iberoam. cienc. tecnol. soc. [online]. 2017, vol.12, n.34, pp.51-64. ISSN 1850-0013.

This paper studies Mexican public policies on nanotechnology according to the indicators established by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Although Mexican policies on science, technology and innovation are biased towards the private sector, Mexico has yet to put in place policies for the promotion of research, development and marketing of nanotechnology. In addition to this lack of public policies and financial support for  notechnology, Mexico’s participation in free-trade and other agreements with international organizations has led to private market standardization entities regulating domestic legislation
