Abstract

MIRAS, Leticia; RICO, María José  and  SAULO, Hugo. The “Data Culture” in the Processes of Statistic Information Production in Argentine Universities. Rev. iberoam. cienc. tecnol. soc. [online]. 2018, vol.13, n.37, pp.143-152. ISSN 1850-0013.

The production of statistic information usually involves several parties, which occasionally only see a fragmented part of this process of gathering and producing information. The data may also not be regarded equally. Information valuable to one area may not be considered relevant to another, and procedures that certain parties think of as standard may vary from one sector to another. This may happen at the level of the areas connected to data entry, processing and consolidation, as well as on the management side, where these differences in information outlook may also occur. This paper considers the results of a survey carried out by the Department of University Information regarding the areas that output statistic information in university institutions

Keywords : Statistic information; Statistic dependencies; Universities; Higher education.
