Abstract

BOLL, Diego I. R  and  FOJON, Omar A. Laser-assisted photoionization of diatomic molecules: from atto-to femto-pulses. An. AFA [online]. 2015, vol.26, n.2, pp.54-58. ISSN 0327-358X.

We study theoretically the laser-assisted photoionization of simple diatomic molecules by short XUV pulses. In addition to the well known interference effects produced by the coherent emission from both molecular centers, we analyze the interferences induced by the presence of the assistant laser field. Moreover, we examine the transition from a streaking-like con figuration (where the XUV pulses have durations of hundreds of attoseconds) to the Free electron laser configuration (in which the XUV pulse duration comprises one or many laser periods).

Keywords : Attopulses; Photoionization; Assistant laser; Molecules.
