Abstract

RUBIO, Marcelo E  and  DAIN, Sergio. Charge-size inequality in spherically symmetric spacetimes. An. AFA [online]. 2015, vol.26, n.2, pp.108-112. ISSN 0327-358X.

We present an inequality for ordinary bodies in General Relativity that relates electric charge and some measure of it size. A universal area-charge inequality for arbitrary dynamical black holes was recently proved. Our pur-pose is to generalize this result for ordinary bodies, or look for an explicit counterexample. Mainly, we discuss the spherical case in which there are two intuitive notions of size, and finally we prove the inequality inside a sphere with constant conformal electric charge density.

Keywords : General Relativity; Electric charge; Size; bodies.
